"Building Sustainable Brands" Visionary Initiative
The "Building Sustainable Brands" Visionary Initiative (also known as the “Geneva Visionary Initiative”) was primarily initiated by SBLF and SBBC, with 24 leading Chinese companies from various sectors as the first batch of signatories. This initiative embodies the shared resolve of leading Chinese companies to pursue sustainable development through concrete actions and elevated standards, dedicated to building enduring global competitiveness and contributing to the implementation of SDGs.
In September 2025, the “Building Sustainable Brands” Visionary Initiative was officially launched at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.
On behalf of the first 24 signatories, Mr. Jiang Li, Chief Coordinator of SBLF, presented the stamped pledges to Mr. Pedro Manuel Moreno, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), in the presence of H.E. Mr. Chen Xu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Permanent Mission of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other international organizations in Switzerland, Mr. Zhang Xiangchen, Deputy Director-General of the World Trade Organization, and other UN officials.
