Innovation for Industrial Sustainability 2023

On September 17, 2023, the "Sustainable Business Leaders Platform", as an official partner, actively engaged in and supported the side event of the 2023 SDG Summit - "Innovation for Industrial Sustainability 2023".

The SDG Summit, convened every four years, is the highest-level UN meeting on sustainable development. The 2023 SDG Summit coincided with the midterm review of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The side event "Innovation for Industrial Sustainability 2023" was co-hosted by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) , Tsinghua University, and UN Water, supported by the "Sustainable Business Leaders Platform". The event brought together United Nations officials, academic scholars, and business leaders to exchange insights and share innovative practices on industrial sustainability, highlighting the indispensable role of public-private partnerships in advancing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

"Business in Action: Sustainable Industrial Development Commitment"

At the event, the "Business in Action: Sustainable Industrial Development Commitment", jointly signed by leading Chinese enterprises, was officially launched. The founder and president of LONGi Green Energy, Mr. Li Zhenguo, on behalf of the signing companies, presented the commitment and collection of exemplary practices to Mr. Li Junhua, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General.
